Hearts and Flowers Galore!

In December, I celebrated my 50th birthday! I wanted to express my love and appreciation for dear friends of mine and so created a mini heart ornament for each person who attended my birthday party. The making of these mini hearts continued as I was asked to make more for women who attend a Journaling with Jesus class on Tuesday mornings at the Well in Cumming, GA. This simple mosaic heart has ministered to several women as it serves as a tangible reminder that God takes our brokenness and makes something beautiful out of us.

During this same Journaling class, God shared with me on my birthday that “We are all flowers in His garden of love.” This inspired me to create a bodice of abundant flowers I call “The Garden of Love”. God continues to remind me of His love, which has propelled me in my work as an art therapist.

As more opportunities to minister to others have opened up in various settings, I’m encouraged to share His love in tangible ways. Soon I will be working with both children from lower income families through a program at the Hudgens Center for the Arts in Duluth as well as at the Gwinnett Senior Center in Lawrenceville. Thank You Lord for your amazing love and for blessing me with this wonderful gift of mosaic making.
