New Steps Forward

It’s hard to believe it’s been six months since I took down the vendor space at Painted Tree; but, seasons change and I’m stepping out into new ventures. Since March, I’ve continued to make mosaics for both pleasure and commission. I’ve enjoyed trying new substrates and techniques.

Most recently, I was honored to conduct an in-person CEU training for the North Texas Art Therapy Association in Waxahatchie, Texas. It was a blessing to share my own personal journey of healing through mosaic-making and teach others how to make mosaic coasters themselves.

In addition to this training presentation, I’ve also had the pleasure of creating mosaic crosses for a Tres Dias community. This month (August) I will be partnering with a wonderful ministry in Cumming, Georgia called The Well where I will be leading a workshop on mosaics. I will be sharing my personal story of healing yet again and instructing others in creating a butterfly mosaic.

On a personal level, I’ve had a powerful spiritual encounter that has inspired me to create my largest mosaic yet – a 2-foot by 3-foot piece - that will illustrate mass deliverance angels swooping in. I plan to donate this work to my local church.

Who knows what other opportunities may present themselves in the near future, but I’m grateful for God’s continued work of healing in my life and allowing me to enjoy this wonderful art medium of mosaics.
